Today in class we reflected on our map activity. Our goal was to look at how our experiences impact how we view the world around us. After that we begun the activity "Village of 100". The lesson asks students to shrink the worlds population from 7,530,000,000 to 100 while keeping the same rations. Essentially what percentage of the world fits in each category. If this was not completed in class today have it done at the beginning of class on 9/9 for periods 1,5 & 7 and 9/10 for periods 2,6.
Welcome to Mr. Ulland's Civics class. I hope you had a fantastic summer and are relaxed, refreshed and ready to start another year. This week is a short one (a quick 3 days) but it will provide an opportunity to get to know each other, as well as what to expect this semester. We will be going over the syllabus and the expectations for the classroom. We will dive into the contents of Civics next Monday by reflecting on how culture shapes ones perspective.
